Comp viruses

My experience with computer viruses has not been extensive at all. Sure I have run into some of them, but most have been killed by my antivirus software. Some have made it by the software, but with a little bit of attention I was able to catch them and have the software isolate and destroy them. I have helped people whose computer has contracted a virus; some were so severely damaged by them that we had to do a complete system restart. That is why I try and keep my computer clean, and I think everyone else needs to learn how to do that also. All it takes is a little bit of diligence on the users part and they should be able to combat viruses that come along and keep their computers clean.

Picasa

I learned some interesting things about uploading images, like the fact that some programs require a lot of work to get working. Especially with the Picasa, there was a lot of fine-tuning that had to be done just to upload the files, but once it got working once, everything seemed to run smoothly after that. Also once I had gone through the process once, I was able to help other people set up their slide shows with ease. The only problem that I ran into that was technical was the fact that the servers are only running on one IP address, and Goggle was thinking that it was being spammed by the one IP, so it slowed down the computers.

Twitter, Its stupid.

I think twitter will stay with us as an internet community for a long while, though its popularity may die down. There will be a resolute group that will keep using it, but most people will stop after awhile, mainly because the celebs they are following will get bored with twitter. The celebs are the main reasons that twitter all the sudden became so popular, people got interested in what their favorite actors or musicians were doing, or supposedly doing. Some celebs were just posting random stuff on twitter to get a good laugh, like Ashton Cutchner. There really is no point to twitter for the mass public, its just the prissy celebs saying they went to Starbucks to get a flavored coffee. Now for other things a similar application might be useful for companies, like film makers.
